This term our topic is: Castles and Kingdoms

What happened in Wales after the Norman invasion of England in 1066? Who were the Welsh princes and how did they eventually lose control of Wales? Explore these questions and more in this special project about medieval Wales.

In this project, children will explore:
• who the Normans were and how they gradually expanded their lands into Wales
• the castles of Wales
• the Welsh princes
• how the Black Death affected the Welsh population
