Here in Waun Wen we are developing our curriculum to meet the needs of the children in our school.
One of our main priorities is to ensure that our children can communicate effectively, so we focus a lot on their speech, language and vocabulary skills. We understand that if you can't speak or communicate, you won't be able to read or write efficiently.
Each class has its own page on the website and parents are kept up to date with what is going on in class through the class dojo page.
We have a 2 year cycle of topics that we use to help us plan the work we do in class:
